Is it possible for another app to open a Viewer app?

Is it possible for another app to 'link' to a Viewer app, thus having a button that opens the viewer app? A little bit like the Music app can open the itunes store app on the iPad. On iOS? On Android?

Build failed when trying to create a custom Android viewer

I am experiencing the same issue, I get the : 'build failed. try again later' without any further information, when trying to create a custom viewer for android. Is this caused by server overloads or are there some things to check?

DPS Analytics : HTTP request error

Dear All,

I recieve an error message every timeI try to check the analytics for any of our apps: "Error retrieving report from Omniture server: HTTP request error".

A few weeks ago, an app totally empty statistics - everything zero - which I knew was not true. Today, I get the error, but there is some data on each page - but how do I know this data is correct?

Anyone that has experience with this? It has been like this the last couple of weeks, but has hoped it was a temporary error. Now, the clients want some statistics on their publications ...

How to open Viewer from other apps? - App 'URL Scheme' has disappeared from Viewer Builder!

Hello

The 'URL Scheme' option in the Viewer Builder did let me to specify a url that made other apps open my viewer. But this option has disappeared from the newer version of Viewer Builder. So. How do I do now to let other apps open my viewer?

Scrollable frame with big buttons does not work

I think I have either found a 'bug' in the Scrollable Frame overlay, or I am missing something:

I want to make a scrollable frame containing eight buttons, and only containing those buttons. But, I cannot scroll, and after some testing, I guess this is because whenever I am touching the scrollable content, I am always touching a button. The content scrolls vertically, and each button goes from edge to edge (horisontally) of the container frame. The buttons are placed edge to edge vertically. So - the whole content of the scrollable frames are different buttons, and this seems to make the scrollable frame stand still. I made a quick test with another scrollable frame, with only one button and the rest graphics withour button overlay functionality. Indeed, I could scroll if I grabbed a graphic, but not if I touched the button and trided to swipe it up and down.

Is it only me, or does other experience this too? Anyone knowing of a solution?

This actually worked before, in version ... I don't remember which, but it was in October 2011, when I used the pan&zoom overlay. Now, when I am updating our publication with version 19 of the tools, it stops working :-(. So, I would prefer not having to change functionality (y making smaller parts of the graphics tappable, and the rest grabbable, for example).

Free subscription, but not in Newsstand?

I have just successfully managed to make a subscription viewer with a free subscription, entered all info on Itunes Connect etc, but now I see this message on iTunes connect:

Your first free In-App Purchase subscription(s) must be submitted with a new app version that is enabled for Newsstand. After enabling your app version for Newsstand, select your free subscription(s) from the In-App Purchases section of the Version Details page and then click Ready to Upload Binary.

Does this mean what I fear - that if I make a free subscription Viewer, it MUST go into Newsstand? We want to stay out of Newsstand, since the content is not a periodical, but corporate information. I didn't specify Newsstand info in the Viewer builder, and the development viewer appears outside of Newsstand, so I guess that the viewer is ok. But will Apple reject the app?

Is it possible to localize the Viewer?

Hello,

Is it possible to localize the viewer in different languages? We will make several Viewers containing publications in several languages, and it would be nice if the Viewers and Viewer libraries could have different names depending on the users language setting. I cannot find anything in Viewer builder that signals this though.
